Johanneshov is a busy live-event district with shopping, restaurants, cafés, and several venues in one pocket.⁶

Annexet is well connected within Stockholm’s Johanneshov event district, and public transportation is often the easiest way to get there on busy event days. Stockholm Live advises guests to consider transit first, since traffic can build around the arena area.³

Public Transit: Metro lines 17, 18, and 19 stop at Globen, and Gullmarsplan is also nearby for additional bus and tram connections.³

Driving: If you’re driving, Annexet is located at Arenatorget 1, 121 77 Johanneshov in Stockholm. Planning your route and parking in advance can make the trip to Annexet smoother. On larger event nights, public transit may still be the simplest option.

Food service here stays straightforward. Annexet offers kiosks and bars for quick snacks and cold drinks, as well as an on-site restaurant, giving guests a fuller pre-show meal option.⁵

Alcohol is available, and the venue notes that bars usually apply a 20-year age limit.²

Annexet opened on February 19, 1989, alongside what is now Avicii Arena, and Berg Arkitektkontor AB designed it as a directly connected support facility for ice hockey training and sporting use. It later shifted into a permanent multi-purpose arena for concerts, trade fairs, parties, conferences, and broadcast productions.¹

Prince performed there, the Women’s World Cup in Boule was staged there, and Swedish TV galas such as Grammis and Kristallen have been broadcast from the venue many times.¹ That range helps explain Annexet’s place in Stockholm’s event scene.
