About Smith's Olde Bar
In the early 1990s, Dan R. Nolen and Mike Reeves decided to open a bar and entertainment space. They found the location for Smith’s Olde Bar in the oldest strip mall in Atlanta, and felt an instant connection. They rented the space from Mrs. Beverly Taylor, whose father built the strip mall in 1927.1
When Mrs. Taylor passed, Nolen and Reeves almost lost their popular venue. But the partners fought back, eventually winning their legal battle and keeping this iconic Atlanta venue open for future generations to enjoy.1 Today, Smith’s Olde Bar hosts concerts from a range of musical artists across genres.
