Public Transportation: The arena is served by the MTA subway at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station, which is on the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, C, and G lines. Several local MTA buses also stop within short walking distance of the venue.

Barclays Center opened in 2012 in Brooklyn, New York, as the home of the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA. Designed by architectural firms AECOM and SHoP Architects, the arena features a distinctive weathered-steel exterior and seating for more than 17,000 basketball fans.¹

The venue quickly became a major stop for touring artists and large events. Jay-Z famously opened the arena with an eight-show run in 2012.⁹ The arena has also hosted major events such as the NBA Draft annually since 2013, along with championship boxing, college basketball tournaments, and major concert tours.¹⁰
