About Fine Line
Fine Line operates within the Consortium Building, which dates to 1907, while the venue itself opened in 1987.1,2 Its multi-level layout, with a main floor and upstairs balcony, gives the room close sightlines and a classic club feel.
A major change came in 2018, when First Avenue announced it was purchasing Fine Line and assuming ownership, management, and exclusive booking.¹⁴ Fine Line’s story comes through best in specific events. Yaeji played the room in 2018, and New Power Generation brought a Prince-linked show there in 2019.4,5 Better Oblivion Community Center drew enough demand that its Fine Line date moved to a larger venue.¹⁵
