Orlando City SC began in 2010 when local soccer advocates Phil Rawlins and Adrian Heath joined forces to establish a club in the United Soccer League (USL), laying the foundation for top-flight soccer in the region.

Drawing early success in USL competition, the organization set its sights on expansion into Major League Soccer, and in 2015, Orlando City made its MLS debut, marking a new chapter for the club and city. Since joining the league, Orlando City has continued to grow both on and off the field, developing a devoted fan base, building its own downtown stadium, and engaging deeply with the Orlando community.¹
