What is the meaning of Austin tv?
Its in spanish Adoramos una sombra tímida instrumental nocturna
could be: We adore a nocturnal instrumental shy shadow
Wich are your influences?
We haven't been influenced by any bands or band directly, we are just trying to make our own style. We like the Californian Punk rock from the 90's and emo from the 90's , math rock, pop, shoegaze, hardcore, noise rock, grunge, alternative musica and every style diferent from the rest in his epoch.
Why do you use costumes and more specifically masks?
Since our first show in a garage (2001) que tried to make something different and we used costumes. We thought that we wanted to give not only an audio show but an audi-visual show, and try to make a diffrerent experience each time, and when posible get more conceptual in every show and stuff arround it. About the masks: We think that people is worth by itself and his physical appearancece doesn't always say the real thing.. Your face is not important the truth is inside!
What does Fontana Bella means? (Besides of being the title of your last record)
Its a Place in the forest where Mario Lupo lives

No, we found a notebook in the forest with his name on it.
Was the diary of Mario Lupo written by Austin tv?
Yes, it was inspired in what we lived in Avandaro, and some research we made about spiritism, mediums, evps, the way of how several cultures understands death (specifically prehispanic cultures) and for last the thoughts we found written in the Mario Lupo's note book.
Why is Austin tv an instrumental rock band?
Its because we want to express with the music what words can't say. Since we meet we started composing one song and another and we made several songs with out thinking if we have vocals or not, but at the end of the day we decide that we rather the music with out voice and it became a goal for us to make music that doesn't need vocals.
Will Austin have vocals some day?

In your previous albums Austin used movies samples ¿Where did you get the Fontana Bella dialogs?
In this album (Fontana Bella) we didn't use movie samples we use dialogs or monologs that we specially compose for this record, based on the Mario Lupo's story and they were read by special voices..
Where did you compose the Fontana Bella album?
It was done in a litte house in the Avandaro Forest.
Why Avandaro? Is it because of the 60's rock festival?
No, it has nothing to do with that. We went there because we wanted to compose in a peacefull place far away from the city and we had the opportunity of living in a borrowed house for two months. We had the opportunity of being calm by day listen to the birds, make music, reading , hiking and watching movies, but when the sun sets that place becomes a very misterious place, with shadows moving in the dark, disapearing things, and a strange phenomena going on. That's why we knew that our album has to be conceptual and all related to the forests and the ghosts we felt in Avandaro.
