About Music Hall of Williamsburg

The venue opened in 2001 as Northsix and quickly became central to Brooklyn’s indie music identity.2 It was named Best New Rock Club by The Village Voice in 2002 and appeared in the opening scene of the 2003 film School of Rock.2

After a brief closure in 2003, the venue reopened, and in 2007 it was acquired and renamed Music Hall of Williamsburg following renovations.2
