Uber Arena

A quick look at the house rules can make entry easier at a venue this size.

• Re-Entry & Smoking: Re-entry is not allowed once visitors leave the arena. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is only permitted in designated areas.³
• Payment Options: Uber Arena is cashless. Food, drinks, merchandise, cloakrooms, and Premium-area orders can be paid for by debit card, AMEX, Mastercard, Visa, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.⁴
• Prohibited Items: Audio and video recording equipment, including cameras with interchangeable lenses, is prohibited. Umbrellas are also not allowed in seating or standing areas.³ Refer to the policy page for the most current guidance.
• Age Restrictions: Children under six are admitted only with an adult, and unaccompanied visitors under 16 are generally not admitted. Event-specific rules may vary.⁵ Refer to the event listing for event-specific information.

The area around Uber Arena is packed with live-event spaces, making it easy to pair a big arena night with a smaller venue elsewhere in Berlin.

• Uber Eats Music Hall: Located within Uber-Platz, just across from the arena, Uber Eats Music Hall hosts up to 4,250 guests for concerts and special events. The venue features top notch acoustics and stage production.¹²
• Tempodrom: Known for its tent-like design and excellent acoustics, Tempodrom has a capacity of 4,200 after renovation. It hosts concerts, ice shows, and other large-scale performances.^9,10
• Konzerthaus Berlin: On Gendarmenmarkt, the Konzerthaus Berlin centers on the Great Hall, which seats 1,600. It is one of the city’s most iconic classical venues.¹¹

Uber Arena sits in one of Berlin’s best-connected event districts, with both public transit and nearby parking options.

Public Transportation: S+U Warschauer Straße is about a five-minute walk away, and Ostbahnhof is about a 12-minute walk away. The area is served by S-Bahn lines S3, S5, S7, S9, and S75, U-Bahn lines U1 and U3, trams M10 and M13, buses, and regional and national rail services.⁶

Driving: If you plan to drive to Uber Arena, head to Uber Platz 1, 10243 Berlin, Germany. Uber Arena parking is available in both the Plaza underground car park and the Uber Arena car park.⁷

Uber Arena offers food and drink on a full-arena scale. Over 20 concessions offer a broad mix of options, from local dishes to more global choices. Among the most popular options are chicken fingers in mango-chilli sauce and a house bratwurst made without preservatives or artificial flavors.⁸

Alcohol is available through the concession network, and Premium guests also have access to upgraded catering.^4,8

Uber Arena opened on September 10, 2008, after nearly 2 years of construction and a project cost of 165 million euros. The building measures 160 metres long, 130 metres wide, and 35 metres high, with a total area of 60,000 square metres.²

Its technical design allows it to switch from a concert venue to a hockey rink or basketball court within a few hours.² That flexibility has helped the arena consistently host a wide range of major events, from international basketball and handball championships to the MTV Europe Music Awards.^1,2
