Brooklyn Steel has several full bars where guests can grab a drink. While food is not available at the venue, there are restaurants within walking distance where guests can enjoy a meal before or after a concert.

Brooklyn Steel was once the Brooklyn Steel Fabrication plant. John Moore and Jim Glancy, partners at Bowery Presents, decided to convert the large industrial space into a high-capacity venue to bring new music experiences to Brooklyn.⁵

While renovating the building, the partners kept many of the industrial features, including much of the steel, which pays homage to its roots.

The venue opened with five sold-out concerts by the local group LCD Soundsystem.⁵ Since then, the venue has hosted local and nationally known artists playing a variety of music styles.¹
