recordBar Policies
Before heading to recordBar, review the venue policies, so you know what to expect at the door. A little planning can help you settle in faster once the music starts.
- Re-Entry & Smoking: Guests should check re-entry rules with door staff before leaving during an event. Smoking and vaping should be limited to areas allowed by venue staff or local rules.
- Payment Options: Guests should bring a valid payment card for bar, merch, or other on-site purchases. Bringing cash as a backup can help if payment options vary by event or vendor.
- Prohibited Items: All bags are inspected at entry. Prohibited items include professional cameras or camera equipment unless pre-approved by the artist, audio and video recording devices, weapons, oversized bags, outside alcohol, illegal substances, and any item that may disturb performers or guests.3 Refer to the policy page for a complete list of prohibited items.
- Age Restrictions: Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian, and a state-issued ID is required for concertgoers 18 and older.3

About recordBar
recordBar opened in August 2005 in Westport and spent 11 years in that neighborhood before moving to Grand Boulevard in the Crossroads Arts District.1,2 Its history now spans two decades of Kansas City music, from its early Westport years to its current Crossroads home.2
