Boettcher Concert Hall

Before visiting Boettcher Concert Hall, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the venue’s rules and policies.

• Re-Entry & Smoking: Re-entry is permitted during performances, though guests are required to go back through the security checkpoints to do so, and will only be able to enter the inner theater during designated breaks or pauses in the program. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, is only permitted in designated areas.

Boettcher Concert Hall’s location in Denver, Colorado, means that it's close to many other great venues.

• Mission Ballroom: This 4,000-capacity music and event space features a movable stage that customizes the layout for each event, state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, and a large dance floor.³
• Ogden Theatre: Ogden Theatre is a historic 1,500-capacity theater that hosts more than 150 music concerts and other live events each year.⁴
• Red Rocks Amphitheatre: This famous venue has been hosting some of the biggest names in music for more than 60 years. Known for its incredible natural rock formation, this venue has a capacity of 9,525 people.⁵

Boettcher Concert Hall is easily accessible by both car and public transportation.

Public Transportation: The Boettcher Concert Hall is conveniently located near a RTD Light Rail stop. Take the D or H line on the light rail to the Theatre District/Convention Center stop, and walk two blocks west on 14th Street to reach the Denver Performing Arts Complex.⁶

Driving: Boettcher Concert Hall is located at 1000 14th St #15, Denver, CO 80202. Parking is available at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, but be aware that it often fills quickly on concert nights. Additional parking garages are available just a short walk from the venue.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted in Boettcher Concert Hall. Food is available for purchase at the concession stand in the Hall's Lobby, but it must be consumed in the Lobby, and is not permitted in the Hall. Drinks are available at multiple bars, including beer, wine, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Drinks purchased at the Hall can be brought into the theater.⁷

The site where the Boettcher Concert Hall now sits was once home to the Denver Municipal Auditorium, built in 1908. In the 1960s, the site was remodeled, and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts was added. In 1977, Boettcher Concert Hall opened, joining the lineup of incredible venues on the site. It held its first performance by the Denver Symphony Orchestra the following year.⁸

What makes Boettcher Concert Hall unique is its “in-the-round” design. Modeled after symphonic facilities of Europe, the stage is situated at the center of the hall, with seats surrounding it. The result is that every seat is within 65 feet of the stage.⁹
