Eastern Kentucky native Rebecca Lynn Howard showing grace and mindfulness to her lived experiences and stellar talent allows the GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter’s album I’m Not Who You Think I Am to reflect her best and most honestly realized work. Produced by Elisha Hoffman and executive produced by CMA and ACM award winner Lee Brice, I’m Not Who You Think I Am features the most relatable “gems” within what Howard believes to be thousands of songs she’s written in the past two decades. Signed to Pump House Records in April 2020, faith and independence and a love of life best define her work of late. Country’s popularity creating unprecedented depth and scope has created a space for Howard’s well-earned wisdom and lyricism favored — to the tune of chart-topping and country radio success — by the likes of Runaway June, Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood. “Rebecca Lynn is one of the most talented humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” says Brice, who co-founded Pump House Records with Rob Hatch and Elisha Hoffman. “She has a voice that has been touched by God and I can not wait for the world to get the chance to hear her new music.” Howard’s career includes working with Country Music Hall of Famers Patty Loveless, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, and Nashville Songwriting Hall of Famer Roger Murrah (Alan Jackson’s “Don’t Rock The Jukebox”). In the past, she’s also toured with Kenny Rogers, while with country-rock sextet Loving Mary, she traveled the world as a bass player supporting Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler’s solo work. For the latter, Howard — a multi-instrumentalist gifted at the guitar, ukulele, bass, and piano — learned the bass in two weeks. Notable, too, are her top-10 album and single (2002’s “Forgive”) and an emotional, roots-driven style that has, at times, placed her within bluegrass’ iconic lineage of achieving a “high, lonesome sound.” Howard’s latest release reflects where she’s strived to arrive as an artist for her entire career. “I’m Not Who You Think I Am” resonates as a defiant song-as-statement. “You’ll hate me in the morning / Crave me when the sun goes down / Swear you’ll never touch me again / But you’ll turn around and then / I’ll get you in the end / Lord, I’ll get you in the end,” she sings in the chorus. Dig into “Flower Bed” and themes explored in I’m Not Who You Think I Am take a twist towards the style of humor found in The Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl.” Leaning back into her solid and familial roots, work crafted to be “shared to help people through the hardest times in their lives” includes “I Am My Mother,” a song borne of a soul-searching “emotional deep cleanse” of a conversation that reflected the timelessness of family as the most honest of inspirations. “I am My Mother / almost to a tee / when I was younger / I swore I’d never be,” she sings. The song showcases how adulthood allows time to reveal the truth of who we are and our parents authentically are, too. Similar to “I Am My Mother,” songs like “Heart Still Does,” “Holler,” “Good Place To Turn Around,” and “Strong” reflect the power of countrified, home-spun, and simple Appalachian wisdom to serve as tentposts as a life survived that “move people’s hearts.” For example, “A Good Place To Turn Around” highlights Howard’s feelings that she’s burned every bridge she would need to turn back as she’s emptied her tank while heading down her existence as a metaphorical lonesome highway. Seeking solace in religion to discover peace of mind, it’s a phenomenal song-as-story-of-redemption that demands attention. The silver lining at the end of the story — and a sense of where Howard’s skills in the next chapter of her career exist best as a live performer who brings down the house — appears via “Hoedown.” Loretta Lynn, a fellow Kentuckian, has her legacy’s imprint all over the raucous party anthem. “if she don’t quit shaking that thing talking all that trash / the back of her head is going to hit the grass / Yeah there’s a hoedown down at the barn somebody sound the hoe alarm / hoedown she tried to do it / and my fist I introduced her to it,” sings Howard on the song that revives and reimagines Lynn’s classic “Fist City.” Howard has already released I’m Not Who You Think I Am’s title track, as well as “Hoedown” and “I Am My Mother,” and is backing those releases with local shows and touring with Brice, and, up until his recent retirement, Steven Tyler. Ask the performer to sum up what allows her, even after releasing an emotional and life-affirming roller coaster of a release, to continue pursuing peerlessness in her craft, and the answer is as heartwarming as it is clear and straightforward. “I’m still here because of my love of music, and I sing and write songs that influence people to learn how to love themselves so they can love others.”

If the best songs come from life’s own experiences, Shane Minor has a lot to pull from. On the road that led him to hit songwriting he grew up as a working cowboy’s son and a preacher’s grandson. He started singing in church at 4 years old and around the same age learned to ride horses and started rodeo’n. After a bad rodeo injury at 20 years old Shane rode the brakes for a while unable to heal up. He moved in with his southern Oklahoma grandparents who pastored a church. Shane credits his tenacity and God-fearing spirit to his grandparents, especially his grandmother Elsie Earp who is the great niece of legendary lawman, Wyatt Earp. In his teenage years and college years Shane traveled most of California and Oklahoma singing in local honky-tonks and dives where he would sit in with complete strangers and local bands and started building up a grass roots following. Not making enough money to support himself he followed the Earp blue line in his blood and by an accidental twist of fate he took a job with the Los Angeles police dept as a police officer. Shane worked in Watts area in south central Los Angeles during the 1992 Rodney King riots. While working with the LAPD, Shane would still sing around the greater LA area and that is where he and CMA award winning producer Dann Huff first met. Dann had Shane come to Nashville for label meetings. On the trip Shane was signed by Mercury Records and ended his 9 years stint with the LAPD. Shane Minor’s first record was released in 1999. Slave To The Habit, his first single, went Top 10 on the country billboard charts. He was Shania Twain’s opening act on her stadium tour. His video for Slave To The Habit won him VH1/MTV awards which were some of the first given to country artists. Ater his journey with Mercury Records, Shane turned down making another record to pursue his love of writing songs. Shane knows his way around the billboard charts. He has spent time there with his own songs as an artist and a writer. Shane is currently one of Sony Nashville’s most prestige writers. He not only writes but mentors newly signed artists. He is also an award-winning member of BMI Nashville. If you listen to country radio you will hear a Shane Minor song being sung by a big major artist and the new rising stars as well. Trent Tomlinson is an American country music artist. After several failed attempts at finding a record deal, Tomlinson was signed to Lyric Street Records in 2005, with his debut album Country Is My Rock, released in early 2006. This album produced three Top 40 singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: “Drunker Than Me” at No. 19, “One Wing in the Fire” at No. 11, and “Just Might Have Her Radio On” at No. 21. Three further singles were released in 2009. Tomlinson was born in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was raised in Kennett, Missouri. His father is a former basketball star who set scoring records at the University of Missouri and was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was also the basketball coach, biology teacher, and assistant principal at Kennett High School. In his junior year of high school, Tomlinson reached the finals for You Can Be a Star, a television talent show on The Nashville Network (now Spike TV), in which Trent placed second. After numerous deals cut short due to labels that went bankrupt or were being taken over, Tomlinson landed a songwriting deal with Cal IV Entertainment. Some of his songs were recorded by Emerson Drive and Blue County on their respective debut albums. He also cut some sides for Lyric Street Records, with whom he later signed a record deal. Tomlinson’s debut single, “Drunker Than Me,” was released in late 2005, followed by his album Country Is My Rock. Two additional singles were also released from the album: “One Wing in the Fire” and “Just Might Have Her Radio On”, the former is a song about Tomlinson’s father. Tomlinson also co-wrote “Missing Missouri” on Sara Evans’ 2005 album Real Fine Place and “Why Can’t I Leave Her Alone” on George Strait’s 2006 album It Just Comes Natural. On December 15, 2008 it was announced that Tomlinson would be the second artist signed to Lyric Street’s subsidiary label, Carolwood Records. His fourth single, “That’s How It Still Oughta Be,” made its chart debut in January 2009. That song fell from the charts in May 2009 and was replaced by “Henry Cartwright’s Produce Stand”. A third single, “Angels Like Her” (a re-recording of a song on his debut), was released on October 26, 2009, shortly before the closure of Carolwood. Tomlinson subsequently returned to Lyric Street before parting ways in March 2010. All three songs were included on an EP titled A Guy Like Me. Tomlinson released “Man Without a Woman” via Skyville Records in 2011, and did not release an album despite the single charting. In 2014, Parmalee released the single “Close Your Eyes”, which Tomlinson co-wrote. The song reached #4 on the Billboard Country Charts. In 2017, Brett Young recorded a song Tomlinson co-wrote (“In Case You Didn’t Know”) to #1! In 2022, Tomlinson’s song “Damn Strait” (recorded by Scotty McCreery) reached #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart!

Born in Mobile, Alabama, and educated (socially at the very least) at The Florida State University, Tyler’s down home sensibility, attitude and humor come across in his songs and through his live performances. Always a storyteller, songwriting fits quite naturally for Reeve. “I’m a song guy; I love songs, I love stories, I love the ride music can take you on.” Tyler’s performances are riddled with stories – usually funny stories – about inspiration for his songs, having a few too many, and even spending a night or two in jail. Reeve has had his hand in writing some of country music’s biggest songs of the last few years, including the 2018 BMI Song of The Year, “In Case You Didn’t Know” (Brett Young), which has streamed over 3 Billion times. He also had a multi-week #1 & XM The Highway’s 2020 Song of The Year, and ACM Musical Event of The Year nom, “Does To Me” (Luke Combs featuring Eric Church). Other notables include “Whiskey On My Breath” (Love & Theft), “Where I Go When I Drink” (Chris Young), How Ya Doin Up There (Scotty McCreery) and “I Got Away With You” (Luke Combs).
