The Novo

As you head to downtown LA with your tickets to The Novo in hand, brush up on the venue's policies for a stress-free and enjoyable experience.

• Re-Entry & Smoking: No re-entry is permitted, and smoking of any type is not allowed.
• Payment Options: The Novo is an entirely cashless experience, but all types of digital payments and credit cards are accepted.
• Prohibited Items: Weapons, recording devices, and all outside food and drinks are not permitted. Refer to the policy page for a complete list of prohibited items.
• Age Restrictions: Most events are all ages, but specific events may have restrictions. There are certain areas, such as the bar and lounge, where patrons must be 21 or older.

The bustling L.A. LIVE district is Los Angeles's entertainment, dining, and cultural hub with a mix of sports venues, nightclubs, restaurants, a bowling alley, a museum, and a movie theater.

• Crypto.com Arena: This is a world-class venue hosting major concerts and home games for the NBA’s Lakers, the NHL’s Kings, and the WNBA’s Sparks.
• Peacock Theater: Also located in L.A. Live, this venue can hold more than 500,000 guests and is home to premier events like the Primetime Emmy Awards.²
• Shrine Auditorium: A historic venue near USC, known for hosting prestigious events like the Academy Awards and the Grammys, featuring the largest proscenium-style stage in North America.³

Getting to and from The Novo is easy with numerous transportation options.

Public Transportation: The LA Metro Trip Planner offers real-time schedules and route information. The Metro Rail Pico Station's A and E lines are just a block away from The Novo. There are also numerous Metro Bus routes serving the area (e.g., 28, 66, and the J line).

Driving: The Novo is located at 800 W Olympic Blvd a335, Los Angeles, CA 90015. There are numerous parking lots at The Novo, which open 2.5 hours prior to events and close 60 minutes after the event ends. Pre-paying to save your spot is strongly recommended.

Inside the venue, there are limited food choices. However, arrive early and you have a smorgasbord of dining options in the L.A. LIVE complex that The Novo is part of, including seafood restaurants, craft BBQ joints and steakhouses, multiple bars, and classic North American options like pizza and burgers.

Designed by the renowned architecture firm Gensler, the venue occupies the upper floors of a five-story mixed-use building, featuring a 40' x 30' stage, state-of-the-art acoustics, and a VIP lounge with views of the performance space. Its 2016 rebranding reflected its shift towards the rap scene.^4,5

The venue has hosted notable performances, including Prince's ambitious three-venue show in 2009, and served as the launchpad for Tyler, The Creator's Odd Future Carnival in 2012, which evolved into the annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival.⁶ Other significant acts include Coldplay, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande.
