Familiarizing yourself with Terminal 5’s policies ahead of time ensures a smoother, stress-free night out. From bag size rules to ID requirements, a little prep goes a long way.

• Re-Entry & Smoking: No re-entry is allowed. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted.
• Payment Options: Cash payments are fine, as are credit cards. An on-site ATM is available for cash withdrawals.
• Prohibited Items: No outside food or drinks, noise-making devices, projectiles, skateboards, in-line skates, or spray paint. Selfie sticks, GoPros, and audio-video recording equipment are not permitted.
• Age Restrictions: Many events are for over-16s or over-18s only. Any exceptions will be noted on the event page.

• Brooklyn Steel: Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this upright warehouse-style venue holds around 1,800 concert goers and is celebrated for hosting cutting-edge indie, rock, and electronic acts.⁵
• The Bowery Ballroom: Nestled on the Lower East Side with a capacity of a maximum of 600, this iconic intimate venue is famed for its warm acoustics, spotlighting rising talent and cult favorites alike.⁶

Getting to Terminal 5 is simple, whether you're taking public transit or driving in. The venue is easily accessible and surrounded by several convenient parking options. While Terminal 5 doesn’t offer on-site parking, nearby garages make it easy to leave the car and dive straight into the action.

Public Transportation: The venue is well-served by the MTA. The closest subway stops are 59th St–Columbus Circle (A/C/B/D/1) and 50th St (C/E). Multiple bus lines, including the M11 and M50, also stop nearby.

In 2007, following the closure of Club Exit four years prior, Terminal 5 opened as a midtown venue for music, art, and events in New York City. Major renovations saw the space converted into a multi-level concert hall with top sound and lighting tech that can accommodate 3,000 music lovers.²

The thoughtfully designed venue offers excellent views of the performers, multiple wrap-around balconies, and a rooftop deck. Since then, it has welcomed a heady mix of world-class DJs, indie icons, and mainstream artists — including The National, who helped christen the space in its opening season, as well as Justice, OMD, Fatboy Slim, Paul van Dyk, and Black Coffee.^2,8,9

Its transformation from a notorious nightclub into a dedicated music venue marked a bold shift, and its industrial-chic layout, with the versatility of several distinct rooms in one building, continues to attract tours across genres.
