About Terminal 5

In 2007, following the closure of Club Exit four years prior, Terminal 5 opened as a midtown venue for music, art, and events in New York City. Major renovations saw the space converted into a multi-level concert hall with top sound and lighting tech that can accommodate 3,000 music lovers.2

The thoughtfully designed venue offers excellent views of the performers, multiple wrap-around balconies, and a rooftop deck. Since then, it has welcomed a heady mix of world-class DJs, indie icons, and mainstream artists — including The National, who helped christen the space in its opening season, as well as Justice, OMD, Fatboy Slim, Paul van Dyk, and Black Coffee.2,8,9

Its transformation from a notorious nightclub into a dedicated music venue marked a bold shift, and its industrial-chic layout, with the versatility of several distinct rooms in one building, continues to attract tours across genres.
