Born on November 5, 1959, in Kingston, Ontario, Bryan Adams spent much of his early life moving internationally because of his father’s diplomatic career.1,2 He picked up the guitar as a teenager and began playing in bands before pursuing a solo path in the late 1970s.1,2
His breakthrough began with Cuts Like a Knife in 1983, which produced radio staples and expanded his reach across North America. The following year, Reckless pushed him into global recognition.1,2
