Born in 1977, Michael Patrick Kelly comes from an unusual but deeply musical background as a member of The Kelly Family. The European folk group featured siblings and parents of the Kelly clan. The children grew up in the 70s and 80s “on a hippie bus, with long hair.”³ Among his friends and family, and within the band, he is best known as “Paddy Kelly.”¹

At age 26, Kelly retired from music to a French monastery, where he studied philosophy and sought a deeper understanding of his inner self. Ten years later, he returned to the stage and the studio to perform again, using his full name.¹

Since his return, Kelly has released several albums and won multiple awards.
