Best known for co-creating, executive producing and starring in one of the most recognized and long-standing comedy shows of all time, Impractical Jokers, comedian Sal Vulcano recently announced the EVERYTHING’S FINE TOUR – his newest national stand-up tour - kicking off in Fall 2024 after selling out in over 60 markets during his previous tour, including notable landmark venues such as The Beacon Theatre and The Ryman Auditorium. 

 

In 2024 Sal’s debut special, TERRIFIED, premiered - garnering over 1M+ views within the first weeks of its release, currently pacing for 2M views just a few months later - further expanding his profile in the comedy world.

 

In 2021 Sal created the No Presh Podcast Network – home of the hit podcasts Hey Babe! (co-hosted with comedian Chris Distefano) and Taste Buds (co-hosted with comedian Joe DeRosa). 

 

Sal also tours with his Impractical Jokers co-stars, selling out countless arenas over the years. Some notable sell-outs include NYC’s famed Madison Square Garden, Prudential Arena 3 times, TD Garden, London’s O2 Arena 7 times (including 4 shows in a row), and Radio City Music Hall 7 times. They have sold over 1.5 million tickets since 2013. 

 

Impractical Jokers, with its new home on the TBS network, is currently in its 11th season (approaching 300 episodes) with new episodes airing every Thursday night - as well as in syndication with 13 international versions to date. Season 12 begins production in March 2025. 

 

After signing a first look deal with Warner Discovery,  Sal and his partners launched Bad Woods Entertainment. Their first greenlit project, Foul Play, hosted by NBA star and LA Laker Anthony Davis, is currently in post production slated to air in 2025.

 

Sal and his partners executive produced and starred in the game show The Misery Index, which aired on TBS for three seasons. Impractical Jokers has also produced multiple spin off shows, including Impractical Jokers After Party, Impractical Jokers Dinner Party, Inside Jokes, and Jokers Wild - a sketch comedy show. In 2019 The Impractical Jokers Movie was released in theaters, cracking the top ten in weekly box office, averaging the highest per screen average of all active releases for four straight weeks.

Sal Vulcano is a comedian, actor, and producer. You may recognize him from the Impractical Jokers (2011) comedy series, where he and his friends Brian "Q" Quinn, James "Murr" Murray, and Joe Gatto played pranks on each other. The show was later turned into a movie with the same name (2020).1,2,3

Sal Vulcano is a founder of the No Presh Network and has hosted multiple podcasts, including Hey Baby! and Taste Buds. He has also released a range of comedy specials and had a guest role in the 12 Monkeys (2015) TV series.4

Sal Vulcano Background

Sal Vulcano was born in Staten Island, New York in 1976.1 When he was 14, Sal Vulcano got a job in a deli, and at 19, he attended university where he got a degree in finance. To earn extra cash, he delivered pizzas and worked behind the bar.5

In 1999, Sal Vulcano and high school friends Brian Quinn and James Murray formed The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe. Initially, they worked on their live performances with sketches and improv before moving their unique style of comedy to the internet.

The TV show Impractical Jokers first aired in 2011. The show quickly gained popularity, as the trio challenged each other to do a range of uncomfortable yet hilarious dares.6 The series has seen the comedian gain a range of nicknames, including Prince Herb, Doctor Shrimp Puerto Rico, and Tanka Jahari.7

Sal Vulcano’s 2023 tour sold out in 60 markets. He played at a range of venues, including The Wilbur and The Beacon Theatre.8

  • NBC - It’s Your Show Competition (2007): The Tenderloins won this comedy competition for their Time Thugs sketch. The prize was $100,000.9

  • MTV Movie + TV Awards - Best Comedy/Game Show (2021): This award was given to Sal Volcano and his comedian friends for Impractical Jokers.11
