Bel-Aire Backyard Policies
Bel-Aire Backyard has pool-day rules even when the focus shifts to live music. Check the entry details before arriving.
- Re-Entry & Smoking: Re-entry is typically allowed but depends on capacity and pool conditions; some events may not allow re-entry. Cigarette smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking area, nicotine vapes are permitted, and marijuana use is prohibited on property.3
- Payment Options: Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and room charge are accepted.3
- Prohibited Items: Luggage, illegal drugs, weapons, sharp objects, over-the-counter medications, outside food or beverages, toys, props, inflatables, professional video cameras, SLR cameras, GoPros, and smart glasses are not allowed.3 Refer to the policy page for a complete list of prohibited items.
- Age Restrictions: For most events, guests must be 21 or older with valid photo ID. There may be limited under-21 access for guests holding hotel room keys or cabana reservations.3

Bel-Aire Backyard is the outdoor counterpart to Bel-Aire Lounge, with design details inspired by Las Vegas desert landscapes.1 Palms, greenery, cabanas, daybeds, pool chairs, and open gathering areas give Durango Resort a more relaxed event space.1
For private events, Bel-Aire Backyard includes 65,000 square feet of deck space, a 7,200-square-foot pool, a 300-square-foot spa, 10 cabanas, three bungalows, 31 daybeds, and an event lawn with a performance stage.8
