The neighborhood around Ford Amphitheater feels like an entertainment district, with dining, retail, and other event spaces close by.⁶ A concert night here can turn into an evening out.

• Broadmoor World Arena: This indoor arena seats up to 9,250 for concerts, family shows, and other large events.⁷
• Pikes Peak Center: The downtown’s performing arts anchor seats 2,000 and hosts concerts, comedy, dance, theater, and family programming.⁸
• Weidner Field: Home of the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, this 8,000-seat stadium also hosts concerts and larger special events.⁹

Ford Amphitheater has several paid and free parking choices, plus rideshare access and accessible parking in Lots 1 and 2 for vehicles with valid placards or plates.⁶ Its north Colorado Springs location near I-25 makes arrival fairly direct.

Food and drink here extend past a basic concession run. The venue serves alcohol to guests 21 and older with a valid ID, limits sales to two drinks per purchase, and does not allow alcohol to leave the grounds.⁵

Club areas add a climate-controlled dining and viewing space with rooftop sightlines. The venue also points guests to nearby dining and drinking spots around the campus, giving the area an easy pre-show rhythm.⁴

Ford Amphitheater opened on Aug. 9, 2024, after first taking shape as Sunset Amphitheater.¹ A naming-rights deal announced in June 2024 brought the Ford name to the venue ahead of opening weekend, and the project arrived as a privately funded $90 million complex for major touring acts in Colorado Springs.¹¹ Its early identity centered on 90 Luxe FireSuites, club spaces, and a rooftop seating and dining area.⁴

The soft opening featured School of Rock, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and Phil Vassar, and the public debut followed with three sold-out OneRepublic shows that drew 24,000 fans.²
