• Re-Entry & Smoking: Guests may leave and re-enter by showing a valid credential or ticket. No smoking is allowed in escalators/elevators, the grandstand, concourse, or within 20 feet of doorways.
• Payment Options: Phoenix Raceway is now a cashless venue, making it safer for guests, vendors, and staff.
• Prohibited Items: Outside alcohol, firearms, knives over three inches long, drones, laser pointers, illegal substances, and collapsible chairs are not allowed inside the venue. Check the official policy page for the full list of restricted items.
• Age Restrictions: Most events welcome guests of all ages. Youth 17 and under receive complimentary admission in select sections on race weekends with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Phoenix Raceway sits in Avondale, part of the ever-growing West Valley region of the greater Phoenix metro area. In addition to race weekend action, nearby arenas and performance venues expand the region’s year-round live entertainment offerings.

• Desert Diamond Arena: Located in Glendale, this multipurpose arena seats up to 19,000 guests and hosts major touring concerts, family shows, and large-scale entertainment events year-round.⁸
• Orpheum Theatre: Located in downtown Phoenix, this historic 1,410-seat theater hosts concerts, comedy shows, and performing arts productions in an ornate, intimate setting.⁹
• Phoenix Symphony Hall: Also in downtown Phoenix, this 2,312-seat concert hall presents orchestral performances, touring productions, and special events in a formal, acoustically designed space.⁹

The Phoenix Raceway is located off I-10 in Avondale and has large on-site parking lots. All ticket holders receive free general parking. Parking passes are available for premium and RV lots.

Public Transportation: Phoenix Raceway does not offer direct rail access, and public transit options remain limited. Guests typically rely on personal vehicles or rideshare services for event-day transportation. The nearest bus stop is located at Civic Center Drive, though service schedules may vary.⁶ Occasionally, event shuttles are available from the campgrounds.

Driving: Phoenix Raceway sits at 7602 Jimmie Johnson Dr, Avondale, AZ 85323, just off Interstate 10. Multiple designated parking grounds surround the venue, with options for standard vehicles, RVs, and premium access.⁵ There are large onsite parking lots, with the closest lots being:

Dining availability at Phoenix Raceway varies by event. Traditional concessions operate during major race weekends, but Phoenix Raceway focuses heavily on its premium hospitality areas.

Select hospitality packages include upgraded seating and dedicated food and beverage service in private or semi-private settings. Offerings differ by event, so review your ticket details in advance.⁷

Over the years, Phoenix Raceway has completed several major upgrades, including rebuilding the grandstand in 1987 after lightning struck and destroyed it.¹

In 2015, Phoenix Raceway was renamed the Jeff Gordon Raceway for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 in honor of his importance in shaping the history of the fans, track, and the sport.¹

Later, in 2018, ISM Connect modernized the track and updated amenities for teams, sponsors, fans, and stakeholders.¹ These updates included the installation of a new state-of-the-art digital fan experience.

The venue returned to its original name, Phoenix Raceway, in 2020, continuing its long-standing role in professional motorsports.¹
