The Orion Amphitheater offers a variety of food and beverage options throughout the venue, including local vendors, quick bites, craft beer, wine, and cocktails. Alcoholic beverages are available to guests of legal drinking age during most events, with bars and concession areas located around the amphitheater.⁹

The Orion Amphitheater opened in 2022 as part of Huntsville’s expanding MidCity District and quickly became one of the city’s leading live entertainment venues. Designed by David M. Schwarz Architects, the open-air amphitheater was inspired by ancient Greek performance spaces, combining a circular layout with modern acoustics and a more connected concert experience.¹⁰

The venue introduced itself with “The First Waltz”, a multi-day opening celebration that featured artists including Brittany Howard, Emmylou Harris, and Jason Isbell. Since then, performers including Dave Matthews Band, The Avett Brothers, and Widespread Panic have appeared at the venue. These performances have helped establish Huntsville as a growing stop for major national tours across multiple genres.¹¹
