About Indian Wells Tennis Garden
The Indian Wells Tennis Garden opened in March 2000. Its creators envisioned bringing a world-class tennis sanctuary to the California desert, with spaces and attractions for both professional and amateur tennis players, sports fans, visitors, and media alike.
Today, it’s the second-largest outdoor tennis stadium in the world, and also has a large fitness center, a member's lounge, dining, and more. It was built by the owner of the BNP Paribas Open, Charlie Pasarell, and has hosted the event since its opening.8
