Tokio Hotel’s Background

In 2001, twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz, along with Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer, formed Tokio Hotel in Germany. At the time, the band members were all between 13 and 15 years old.

In 2005, they released their debut album Schrei. This was followed by Zimmer 483 (2007) and an English-language album called Scream (2007). In 2010, the twins moved to Los Angeles. The rest of the group remained in Germany, but they continued making music together. Other Tokio Hotel albums include Kings of Suburbia (2014), Dream Machine (2017), and 2001 (2022).

In 2024, Tokio Hotel performed at the Deichbrand Festival in Cuxhaven, Germany. The brothers also featured in the Netflix documentary series Kaulitz & Kaulitz.1,2
