Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s return is an arrival. Coming from one of the world’s biggest pop groups, now venturing out on her own, her solo pop star career has been a lifetime in the making. With influences ranging from old school R&B to garage, right through to amapiano and reggae, this project will see Leigh-Anne embracing the full potential of her identity as the one and only star of the show. Leigh-Anne’s Background
Leigh-Anne Pinnock was born on 4 October 1991 and grew up in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.2,3 Before fame, she performed at talent shows, worked part-time at Pizza Hut, and built confidence at secondary school, where she became head girl and enjoyed debating in class.1,2
In 2011, she auditioned for The X Factor UK as a soloist, singing Rihanna's Only Girl (In the World), before being placed in a group with Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Jesy Nelson.1,2,3 That group became Little Mix, a name that would make them famous.1,3
Winning The X Factor changed the scale of everything and opened the door to a music career that later grew into solo work.1,2
