History of the Orlando Magic

The team immediately made its mark on NBA history, drawing national attention with stars like Shaquille O’Neal and Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway in the 1990s.1 They quickly made sports headlines, qualifying for their first playoff berth in 1993 and advancing to the NBA finals by their sixth year of playing.
The team has never rebranded its name nor relocated to or from another city, making it a source of pride for O-Town sports fans. Celebrated coaches like Steve Clifford and Jamahl Mosley have continued to lead the Magic to legendary moments in the 2010s and 2020s.
