About The Canyon at OPAC
Oxnard Performing Arts & Convention Center opened in 1968 as the Oxnard Civic Auditorium and Community Center.8 The two-city-block property includes a 1,604-seat theater, ballrooms, classrooms, and courtyards next to Hobson Park East.8
The City of Oxnard entered into a management agreement with The Canyon in 2020, bringing the Ventura County live entertainment company into the theater.8 Today, The Canyon presents music and comedy there, while the rest of OPAC houses festivals, theater, dance, music, visual arts, and other community programs.2,8
