Tyler Gregory Okonma, who we know as Tyler, The Creator, was born in Los Angeles, California in 1991.⁵ In 2007, he co-created a hip-hop collective called Odd Future, alongside Jasper Dolphin, Left Brain, Casey Veggies, Hodgy Beats, Matt Martians, and Pyramid Vritra.⁶

In 2009, Tyler, The Creator released Bastard, his debut album.⁵ In 2011, he launched the fashion brand Golf Wang, which was a reflection of his personality. He’s since partnered with other labels including Vans, SUICOKE, Louis Vuitton, and Lacoste.⁷

In 2013, the artist released his third album, Wolf. This was followed by a number of other albums such as Cherry Bomb (2015), Flower Boy (2017), Igor (2019), and Chromakopia (2024).⁵

Tyler, The Creator’s music has been featured on numerous soundtracks, including The Grinch (2018), A Star Is Born (2018), and Sweethearts (2024).⁸
