Tyler, The Creator Background
Tyler Gregory Okonma, who we know as Tyler, The Creator, was born in Los Angeles, California in 1991.5 In 2007, he co-created a hip-hop collective called Odd Future, alongside Jasper Dolphin, Left Brain, Casey Veggies, Hodgy Beats, Matt Martians, and Pyramid Vritra.6
In 2009, Tyler, The Creator released Bastard, his debut album.5 In 2011, he launched the fashion brand Golf Wang, which was a reflection of his personality. He’s since partnered with other labels including Vans, SUICOKE, Louis Vuitton, and Lacoste.7
In 2013, the artist released his third album, Wolf. This was followed by a number of other albums such as Cherry Bomb (2015), Flower Boy (2017), Igor (2019), and Chromakopia (2024).5
Tyler, The Creator’s music has been featured on numerous soundtracks, including The Grinch (2018), A Star Is Born (2018), and Sweethearts (2024).8
