Prudential Center

Knowing the policies for the Prudential Center before you arrive helps you prepare and makes your visit smoother and more enjoyable for everyone in attendance.

• Re-Entry & Smoking: Re-entry is not permitted at the Prudential Center. Once guests enter the venue, they may not exit and re-enter. The arena is also smoke-free. Smoking, including cigarettes, vaping devices, and electronic cigarettes, is prohibited in all areas.³
• Payment Options: The Prudential Center is a cashless arena. Guests can use credit/debit cards or mobile pay options to make purchases. Reverse ATMs are also available inside the venue for guests who wish to convert cash into a prepaid card.³
• Prohibited Items: Outside food and beverages, backpacks, and weapons of any kind are not allowed inside the Prudential Center. Check the official A-Z Guide for the complete list of prohibited items.³
• Age Restrictions: Prudential Center welcomes fans of all ages. Guests two years and older must have a ticket, while children under two years must share a seat with an adult if they do not have their own ticket.³

• Victoria Theater (at New Jersey Performing Arts Center): The Victoria Theater is an intimate performance space within the New Jersey Performing Arts Center complex. It features around 500 seats and hosts dance, jazz, chamber music, theater, and film events.⁵
• Prudential Hall: Prudential Hall is a performance space that’s also a part of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center complex in Newark. It features around 2,800 seats and hosts Netflix specials, classical concerts, theater productions, and other cultural events.⁶
• White Eagle Hall: White Eagle Hall is a historic live performance venue in Jersey City that originally opened in 1910 and was restored and reopened in 2017. It holds about 800 people in a standing-room configuration and hosts concerts, comedy shows, and community events.⁷

Public Transportation: The stadium is about two blocks from Newark Penn Station, which is served by NJ Transit, PATH, Amtrak, and the Newark Light Rail. Several NJ Transit bus routes also stop nearby.⁴

The Prudential Center offers a wide range of food and beverage options for all guests. Standard concessions throughout the concourses feature classic arena fare, local favorites, and grab-and-go snacks. Guests 21 and older can enjoy beer, wine, and cocktails at select stands and lounges.

For a more upscale experience, the arena features two club lounges with a capacity of 1,000 guests each and a 350-seat restaurant offering both made-to-order selections and buffet options.¹ These premium areas provide gourmet dishes, curated menus, and a more elevated setting for sports, concerts, and special events.

The Prudential Center opened in 2007 in downtown Newark, New Jersey, as a multipurpose indoor arena.¹ The venue features a modern glass-and-steel exterior, sweeping entryways, and an interior designed to provide unobstructed sightlines from all seats.

The Prudential Center debuted with a series of 10 concerts headlined by Bon Jovi, featuring opening acts like Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, and Gretchen Wilson, before hosting its first New Jersey Devils home game two days later.⁸ This mix of concerts and sports established the arena as a popular destination for live entertainment and professional events.
