Lord Huron began as a solo project created by Michigan-born artist Ben Schneider after he relocated to Los Angeles and started recording music inspired by his childhood experiences around Lake Huron, which later gave the band its name.³ Schneider initially released the independent EPs Into the Sun and Mighty before recruiting musicians Mark Barry, Miguel Briseño, and Tom Renaud to form a full band.³
