Raised in El Paso, Texas, Khalid released his first album, American Teen, at the age of 19 in 2017.1 This debut featured the instant hit single Young Dumb & Broke and quickly became one of the largest debuts of the 2010s.1 Just one year later, in 2018, Khalid was nominated for five awards at the 60th annual Grammy Awards.3 In 2025, Khalid was recognized by Billboard and VENU with a live entertainment industry award.2
