<?xml encoding="UTF-8">Asbury Lanes originally opened in 1962 as an 18-lane bowling alley.3 In 2003, the famous DIY concert venue emerged, which was the hub of the town&rsquo;s punk culture renaissance.2,3 Following more than a decade of local performances, in 2015, the owners closed for renovations.3They reopened in 2018 as an updated concert space with six bowling lanes, a modern diner, and a secret passage to The Asbury, a nearby hotel built in 2016.2,3 This renovation more than doubled the venue&rsquo;s capacity.14
