During his time there, he was involved with theatre productions, and his love of comedy grew. He graduated in 1976 and became a regular stand-up performer at comedy clubs across New York City.In 1981, he had a comedy spot on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and in 1987, he hosted his own HBO special, Stand-Up Confidential.Then there was Seinfeld, which he co-wrote with Larry David. Originally called The Seinfeld Chronicles, it first aired in 1989 on NBC.
