About Bleachers
Described as “anthemic, life affirming pop rock” by the New York Times, Bleachers are fronted by globally celebrated, eleven-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Jack Antonoff. Both with Bleachers and as a songwriter and producer, Antonoff, who, in 2021, was credited by the BBC for having “redefined pop music”, has collaborated with the likes of Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Sabrina Carpenter, The 1975, Lorde, Diana Ross, St. Vincent, Florence + The Machine, Nick Cave, and more. In February 2024, Antonoff won Producer of the Year at the Grammy Awards for an incredible third consecutive year, becoming only the second producer in history to win three years running.
Releasing their debut album ‘Strange Desire’ in 2014, Bleachers have built a huge, passionate following across three studio albums, becoming renowned for their impressive live show and infectious camaraderie. The band’s 2021 release, ‘Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night’ took them to new heights, showcasing Antonoff’s immersive songwriting and, as Variety testified, his innate skill at “supersizing personal stories into larger-than-life pop anthems”.
‘Bleachers’, the band’s fourth studio album, was released Friday March 8th via Dirty Hit and features singles ‘Modern Girl’, ‘Alma Mater’, ‘Tiny Moves’ and ‘Me Before You.’ The release of ‘Bleachers’ was met with tremendous critical acclaim with DIY lauding the album as “nothing short of remarkable”, Rolling Stone praising its “spiritual ecstasy that can only be attained through the platonic perfection of pop formula” and NME labeling the record as “[a] prime example of the Bleachers’ genius”.
Following the release of their new self-titled record, the band kicked off their “From The Studio to the Stage” global tour with a 7-show sold out leg throughout the UK, followed by a 40+ show tour global tour across Japan, Europe, and North America – including out dates at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and their largest headline show to date at Madison Square Garden.
Bleachers
Bleachers makes pop-rock that sounds like a late-night drive with the windows down: saxophone, synths, big drums, and Jack Antonoff pushing every feeling right to the front.
Led by Antonoff, the New Jersey band turns anxious thoughts, romance, grief, and nostalgia into songs made for packed venues at full volume. Their sound includes flashes of late ’80s and early ’90s pop culture, John Hughes films, blown-out drums, and gleaming synths, but the emotion stays messy and close to the surface.1

Bleachers’ Background
Bleachers began in 2013 as Antonoff’s solo project after his work with fun. and Steel Train.2 The project gave him a place to make music that pulled from New Jersey rock, late-night pop, and the emotional punch of the films and records he grew up with.1
For years, Antonoff was the only permanent member of Bleachers; then, in 2023, Mikey Freedom Hart, Sean Hutchinson, Evan Smith, Michael Riddleberger, and Zem Audu became official members.1
Bleachers’ Awards
Bleachers’ milestones tell the story better than a trophy case would: a debut single that broke through fast, a first album that landed high on the rock charts, and videos that brought the band’s restless, theatrical streak into full view.
- MTV Video Music Awards Nominations (2024): Tiny Moves earned MTV Video Music Awards nominations for Best Alternative, Best Direction, and Best Choreography.4
Bleachers’ Biggest Hits
Bleachers’ best-known songs work because they do not clean up the mess. The synths glow, the drums hit hard, and the lyrics keep chasing the same stuff: love, panic, memory, and the need to get out of your own head.
- Rollercoaster (2014): From Strange Desire, Rollercoaster remains one of Bleachers’ signature tracks, pairing glossy production with the restless feeling that runs through the debut album.5
- I Wanna Get Better (2014): Also from Strange Desire, I Wanna Get Better helped introduce Bleachers with an urgent chorus, bright production, and the nervous energy that still defines the band.5
- Don’t Take the Money (2017): From Gone Now, Don’t Take the Money turns Bleachers’ drums, synths, and urgent vocals into one of the project’s most direct songs.5
See Bleachers Live
Bleachers shows feel sweaty, loud, and wired straight into the crowd. Their live sets can move from strobe-lit build-ups to acoustic moments staged like a teenage bedroom, then close with one of their biggest hits for a final rush of energy.6
