<?xml encoding="UTF-8">The Midland Theatre opened in 1927 as a film theatre. On the grand opening day, every one of the 4,000 seats was sold, as patrons enjoyed the premier feature, a silent film called The Road to Romance. At the time, it was one of the largest theaters in the United States.1The Midland Theatre primarily operated as a movie theater for decades, while undergoing several ownership and operational changes. In 1981, the venue was renovated and began to host live performances. In 2006, the theater underwent another major renovation and reopened two years later with a refreshed interior and exterior.1

Add a pre-paid parking pass for access to the parking lot underneath the H&amp;R Block building, just half a block south of The Midland Theatre on Main Street. Enter on Main Street or from Walnut Street, in-between 13th and 14th Street. Parking access starts at 5:00 p.m. CT on the day of your show, unless otherwise noted, and entry ends two hours after your show's start time. The vehicle must be moved by 6:00 a.m. the following day. Upon entry, you will need to present your mobile parking ticket in exchange for a printed ticket you will present at the end of the night. You must hang on to the printed ticket for exiting the parking lot. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DISCLAIMER: The parking lot for which you are purchasing a ticket is owned and managed by a third party.
