<?xml encoding="UTF-8">Hank LoConti, a local entrepreneur and music lover, opened the original Agora Club in 1966. It was located in Little Italy, near the Case Institute of Technology and Western Reserve University&rsquo;s campus.8The Agora was a hit from the start. Eventually, the club got so popular that locals in Little Italy voiced their disdain for the loud music and fans. The Agora reopened in a new location in 1967. In 1984, a fire broke out at the Agora, and it was eventually moved to its present location. By the early 2000s, the Agora had become a historic landmark and was recognized for its contributions to Cleveland's music scene.8
