About Audrey Hobert
A lifelong singer, musical theatre devotee and dancer, Audrey got her first taste of songwriting when childhood best friend and then-roommate Gracie Abrams pulled Audrey into the making of her album, The Secret of Us. Together, they wrote some of Gracie’s standouts like “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “Risk”—for which Audrey directed the music videos—as well as current global hit “That’s So True.”
Following that project, she signed a publishing deal which put her plans to pursue TV writing on pause. As she began writing, she realized the music was undeniably her own, and her artistic project was born, then brought to life with production partner Ricky Gourmet. Who’s the Clown? represents Audrey’s exploration of her own creative vision, as it is the first collection of songs that she ever wrote for herself. Audrey is a one-woman-show, fully realizing all aspects of her music from start to finish—writing songs, singing, directing and editing music videos.

Audrey Hobert’s Background
Hobert grew up in Los Angeles and studied Dramatic Writing at NYU, graduating with a BFA in 2021.4 Before releasing her own album, she wrote for Nickelodeon’s The Really Loud House and began writing songs with Abrams.1
That partnership led to credits on Abrams’ 2024 album The Secret of Us, giving Hobert an early behind-the-scenes music breakthrough.1 She then moved into solo pop with Who’s the Clown? in 2025, bringing that screenwriting background into songs that play out like movie scenes.1
