About Megan Moroney
Megan Moroney
Megan Moroney grew up in a musical family, enjoying music by legendary country, southern rock, and Americana artists. Those artists now influence her own unique country style.1
While Moroney grew up singing and enjoying music, it wasn’t until she suffered a heartbreak at age 16 that her father purchased her first guitar, which she continues to play today.2
The artist didn’t set out to become a star, and instead studied accounting in college before switching to digital marketing and music business.2 But it wasn’t long after graduation that she found the spotlight and has been releasing hits and winning awards ever since.

Megan Moroney’s Background
Moroney was born and raised in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia.1 As a freshman, she had the chance to open for Chase Rice, the country star that helped discover Maroney.2 It was that opportunity that led her to write her first original song, Tennessee Orange, which would be the same song to help push her into the spotlight.1
Despite this experience, Moroney continued college and moved to Nashville after graduation. In fall 2022, she officially released Tennessee Orange as an independent artist and landed her first record deal soon after.2
