Broadmoor World Arena

Before your first visit to Broadmoor World Arena, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the venue’s policies.

• Re-Entry & Smoking: Broadmoor World Arena has a strict no re-entry policy during all events. Smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is not permitted anywhere within the Arena. Designated smoking areas are available outdoors.
• Payment Options: All purchases are cashless. Major credit and debit cards and digital payment methods are accepted.
• Prohibited Items: Laser pointers, noisemakers, outside food and beverages, and large bags are not permitted. Refer to the policy page for a complete list of prohibited items.
• Age Restrictions: Most events are all ages. Check the AXS event listing for any applicable age restrictions.

Broadmoor World Arena isn’t the only great venue in the Colorado Springs area.

• Pikes Peak Center: This Colorado Springs theater was built in 1982 to serve as a regional entertainment and cultural center. Today, this 2,000-seat theater hosts concerts, comedy shows, dance performances, and theater, and is the primary venue of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.²
• Ford Amphitheater: Ford Amphitheater is an 8,000-capacity open-air venue that hosts major artists across many different genres.³
• Phil Long Music Hall at Bourbon Brothers: This modern, state-of-the-art concert hall hosts live music performances and private events.⁴

The arena’s location several miles south of downtown Colorado Springs makes it easy to get to Broadmoor World Arena by car or public transportation.

Public Transportation: Colorado Springs’ metro has multiple bus routes with stops close to Broadmoor World Arena. Rideshare options are also available in the area.

Driving: The Broadmoor World Arena is located at 3185 Venetucci Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. There are multiple parking lots available at the arena. General parking cannot be reserved or paid for in advance. Premium parking is also available and can only be purchased in advance at AXS.⁷

Broadmoor World Arena has multiple concession stands that offer standard arena food and snacks. Multiple full-service bars are available, serving wine, mixed drinks, and beer, including local craft beer options.⁵

For select events, the venue also offers pre-show dining options at the Penrose Club and the Peter Susemihl Room at the Broadmoor World Arena. Dinners feature pre-set menus and can be purchased in advance.⁵

The Broadmoor World Arena opened in 1998. It was built to replace the previous ice arena on the grounds of The Broadmoor Hotel, which operated from 1938 to 1994. The arena was originally the home of the Colorado College hockey program, which relocated to a new location in 2021.⁶

Today, Broadmoor World Arena is a multipurpose venue that continues to host ice skating events, concerts, conventions, and other live events.
