Dave Background

Dave was born David Orobosa Omoregie in 1998 in Brixton, a district of South London’s Lambeth borough. He began his music career as an MC specializing in the “grime” subgenre, which evolved from UK garage hip-hop and EDM.

By age 18, Dave already had several successful singles and EPs. However, he gained a large following in the US in 2016 when Drake remixed his single Wanna Know. Dave has cited Drake, Hans Zimmer, and Lana Del Rey as some of his musical influences.4
