About The Bad Plus
This is the farewell tour of The Bad Plus — the last chance to see them live.
For over two decades, The Bad Plus have been one of the most influential and distinctive formations in modern jazz. The American band came to international attention in the early 2000s and quickly built a reputation for opening jazz to new audiences with complete musical conviction — uncompromising, stylistically open, and full of enormous energy.
The group became famous for their radical reinterpretations of rock and pop songs as well as for their original compositions. Over the course of their career, The Bad Plus released numerous acclaimed albums on labels including Columbia Records and Nonesuch, and collaborated with artists such as Joshua Redman, Wendy Lewis, and Bill Frisell.
2026 marks the end of an era: the band has announced they will dissolve after their current tour. That makes this an especially rare opportunity to experience one of the defining groups of modern jazz one final time.
Between complex structures, improvisational openness and enormous rhythmic precision, The Bad Plus have left a lasting mark on the sound of contemporary jazz.
