Eladio Carrión Biography

Eladio Carrión is a multi-platinum rapper and singer-songwriter who has established himself as one of the most captivating musical acts in Spanish Trap and Reggaeton. He has been internationally acclaimed for his grandiose improvisations, demonstrating revolutionary creative versatility. His music videos have more than 1.4 billion views on YouTube, while on digital music platforms he has more than 2.4 billion streams combined. He has more than 13 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 4.5 million followers across his social networks. Thanks to his successful musical productions and his innovations between genre fusions, today he has become one of the most promising artists in the Latin music industry.

Eladio was born in Kansas City, MO into a military family, with whom he later lived in cities like Hawaii, Baltimore, New York, and Alaska, until finally settling on his family’s native island, Puerto Rico. Since he was a child, he was always characterized as a multidisciplinary person, constantly experimenting and developing key skills that defined different areas of his professional character. As a teenager, he developed an impeccable discipline as a professional swimmer, representing Puerto Rico in the Youth Olympic Games. Just before embarking on music, Eladio had also become a renowned professional comedian, improvising and imitating artists such as Cosculluela and Wisin.

Taking into account his extraordinary innate talent for music, as well as the great respect he had earned in advance from his peers in the music world, Eladio began to write songs as a ghost-writer for other artists. In 2017, he decided to launch his solo career by writing his own songs and collaborating. He quickly scored his first international hits in 2018, with singles like “Me Usaste” with Khea and Noriel and “Si Tu Te Vas” with Jon Z – both of which were certified Gold by the RIAA. Since then, Eladio's artistic growth began to emerge massively, conquering large audiences that positioned him as a revolutionary agent in the Latin music industry. In 2019, Eladio broke international barriers with the premiere of “Kemba Walker” alongside multi-platinum superstar Bad Bunny, achieving Gold and 3x multi-platinum certification by the RIAA.

At the beginning of 2020, he surprised the music industry with the premiere of his first album, “Sauce Boyz”, debuting on the Billboard charts, hitting #6 on the “Latin Rhythm Albums” chart, #8 on “Top Latin Albums” and #28 on the global list of all genres “Independent Albums”. Thanks to its high sales performance, the album achieved Platinum certification by the RIAA. Later that same year, the artist decided to release a special edition of his album with, “Sauce Boyz Care Package”.

Starting 2021 in full swing, Eladio Carrión released his second record material, "Monarca" with which he got his second consecutive entry to the top 10 of Billboard's "Latin Rhythm Albums" list and debuted at #11 on "Top Latin Albums". The album made it possible to show Eladio's artistic versatility with fusions of musical genres such as reggaeton, R&B, trap, drill, hip-hop, among others - thus conquering digital music platforms globally. On Apple Music it debuted at #2 on the “Top Latin Albums” list, while on Spotify it ranked #4 on the “Top Global Album Debuts” list.

Consecrating new successes, the talented and unstoppable artist once again surprised his fans with the premiere of the album “SEN2 KBRN VOL. 1”, where he returned to his original Spanish trap sounds and delved deeper into the Drill rhythms. The album debuted in the top 20 of Billboard's "Top Latin Albums" and contained viral hits such as "Problemas" and "Paz Mental." The artist later teamed up with Bizarrap to release their collaboration “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 40”, which charted on the “Billboard 200” and “Billboard Global Excl. U.S.” In addition, he released "Tata - Remix" with Bobby Shmurda, Daddy Yankee and J Balvin with which he debuted for the first time on Billboard's "Hot Latin Songs" list.

Reaffirming his character as a transcendental phenomenon of Latin music, Eladio was recognized by the Latin Recording Academy with a Latin GRAMMY® nomination for his album “Monarca” in the category of “Best Urban Album”. Later, he managed to prove his massive reach by performing three completely sold-out concerts at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in Puerto Rico - making history and breaking sales records by delivering some of the biggest shows of his career.

Towards the end of 2021, the artist released a new album "Sauce Boyz II", marking his fourth record material and the third album that he released that same year. Once again causing great impact and surprising all his fans, Eladio managed to conquer international terrain, ranking #1 on Apple Music's "Top Latin Albums" and #2 on Billboard's "Top Latin Albums", and "Top Global Albums” by Spotify. The album featured 22 unreleased songs and included hits like "Alejarme de Ti" with Jay Wheeler, "Jóvenes Millonarios" with Mike Towers, and "Cuarentena", highlighting a more mature version of the artist, which deeply explores his creative versatility.

In the middle of 2022, Eladio Carrión continued to reach new heights with his musical successes, premiering songs like “Si Lo Haces Soñar”, “Que Cojones” and “Hellcat.” Eladio Carrión also toured around Europe, visiting 25 cities and presenting the most prominent songs of his acclaimed repertoire. In addition, the artist reaffirmed his position as one of the leaders of Spanish trap and the new generation of Latin music after performing for the first time in three glorious sold-out concerts at the legendary Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Eladio Carrión sang in front of more than 16,500 people each night with an unparalleled production, achieving an essential milestone for his career.

In November of 2022 he released “SEN2 KBRN Vol. 2,” which debuted at #4 on Billboard’s “Top Latin Albums” chart. Additionally, it debuted at #1 on Spotify’s “Top Albums Debut Global” and #3 on “Top Albums Debut USA” and reached #2 on Apple Music’s “Top Latin Albums” and #8 on the “Top Albums” chart.“Mbappe,” the album’s focus track, hit the Spotify Global Top 200 at #98 and trended in the YouTube top 10 in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
