GIVĒON’s Background

Giveon Dezmann Evans was born and raised in Long Beach, California, where he developed a passion for music at a young age, influenced by classic vocalists and modern R&B storytellers.1 To practice and improve his style, his mother would make him sing at birthday parties.1

Once he started releasing music, it was his distinctive singing style and rich baritone voice on the single Garden Kisses that initially caught the attention of industry notables like Canadian producer Rupert “Sevn” Thomas, Jr, who spotted him on SoundCloud.1

His early EPs, including Take Time, introduced his introspective style and laid the groundwork for his ascent in R&B. Today, he’s recognized for blending lyrical vulnerability with a baritone that bridges the musical generations.
