Meghan Trainor grew up in Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Born in 1993, she started playing music as a young child.

In her teenage years, Trainor played in her high school jazz band and participated in the Performance Program at the Berklee College of Music. By 18, she had a publishing deal as a songwriter in Nashville, writing songs for artists like Rascal Flatts and Sabrina Carpenter.

Trainor’s big break came with her 2014 single All About That Bass. When she couldn’t find a singer to record the track, she decided to record it herself. The song was an instant success, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight weeks straight.

Since her explosive debut, Trainor has released several studio albums and embarked on multiple tours in North America and Europe.3
