Sandy Lam started her singing career in Hong Kong in the mid-80s with a string of up-tempo Japanese-style songs. She gained popularity in Taiwan with her debut Mandarin release "Home Again Without You." In 1995, she released her fourth Mandarin album "Love, Sandy ," which remains one of the all-time best selling Chinese language albums. She later moved beyond the Hong Kong music scene and the gained popularity in Taiwan ,China and Japan , where she continues to record music.

Lam has won many awards during the course of her career including Best Regional Performing Female Artist, Best Album, Best Female Vocalist, and an honorary Music Award for her contributions to the music industry.

Sandy is now working on her 16th Cantonese album .
