Funnyman Dave Chappelle made his highly anticipated return to television on Saturday night, hosting Saturday Night Live with special musical guests, A Tribe Called Quest. Chappelle had popped his head out from hiding a little over a month ago just a few blocks away from the SNL studios at The Roots Picnic in New York’s Bryant Park, where he told a few jokes on stage while stalling for D’Angelo to arrive for his headlining set.

While his return to SNL was a funny one, Chappelle saved his best performance for the afterparty, where he a few of his famous friends put together a late-night, impromptu performance of Radiohead’s hauntingly classic, “Creep,” at The Cutting Room nearby. The moment was captured by fellow NBC star and musician, Questlove, who captured the performance on his Instagram and added by saying, “In a life full of highlights? I'm glad I waited til 5:22am for this.”

Speaking of Saturday Night Live, the sketch show, which has been making waves in the media lately for its political satire, opened up the show with a touching musical tribute to Leonard Cohen, who passed away earlier this week. The video can be seen in the clip below.
