Food and drink at Utilita Arena Sheffield focus on concourse staples with a few broader options mixed in. The venue offers fresh, tasty, and, where possible, locally sourced products, with gluten-free and vegan snacks available on the Red and Blue concourses.⁶

Concessions include hot dogs, vegan hot dogs, nachos, pizzas, burgers, vegan burgers, chips, chilli options, and chicken dishes.⁶ Alcohol is available at the arena bars and kiosks.

Utilita Arena Sheffield has on-site parking and is also easily reached by tram, bus, or Park & Ride.

Public Transportation: The arena has its own stop, Arena / Olympic Legacy Park, served by the Yellow Route and Tram Train. Park & Ride is available from Meadowhall Interchange and from sites off the Sheffield Parkway, while buses and taxis offer additional options.³

Driving: If you are driving, head to 45 Broughton Ln, Sheffield S9 2DF, UK. On-site parking is available, but there is no overnight parking allowed in the arena car parks.^4,5

The area around the arena gives Sheffield a good spread of live spaces, from larger rooms to long-running independent venues.

• first direct bank arena: Opened in 2013, the First Direct Bank Arena is one of the UK’s premier entertainment venues, hosting major international touring acts across music, comedy, sport, and live events. Located in Leeds city centre, the arena features a maximum capacity of approximately 13,500, making it one of the largest indoor venues in the region.⁷
• O2 Academy Sheffield: Located in the city centre and set to reopen soon, O2 Academy Sheffield is one of Sheffield’s main live music venues, hosting touring rock, indie, electronic, and alternative acts. The venue complex includes a main room with a capacity of around 2,150, alongside smaller performance spaces for club nights and emerging artists.⁸
• Sheffield City Hall: Opened in 1932, Sheffield City Hall is one of the city’s best-known historic venues, regularly hosting concerts, comedy, orchestral performances, and touring productions. The oval-shaped auditorium and surrounding halls can accommodate up to 2,271 guests depending on configuration.^9,10

Utilita Arena Sheffield opened in 1991 as part of the World Student Games and went on to become one of the country’s busiest indoor venues, averaging 122 shows a year and welcoming more than 650,000 visitors annually.¹

Its sheer size has also enabled it to host events beyond standard touring runs, including the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ media centre and finish line.^1,11

The arena’s live-performance history includes the first-ever arena gig for Oasis, 35 performances of Les Misérables, and Tina Turner’s final arena show.¹
