Alejandro Fernández, known as El Potrillo (The Colt) by the media and his fans, has sold over 35 million albums worldwide and is one of the most prolific and successful Latin American musicians of our time. The son of legendary Mexican singer Vicente Fernández, he has a rich cultural and musical heritage rooted in tradition. His early career focused on traditional forms of Mexican folk music, such as mariachi and ranchera, bringing ranchera music to new audiences - then branched out into pop music with great success, including duets with Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Rod Stewart, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony and Placido Domingo.
Fernández' album, Rompiendo Fronteras was number one in the Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums on Billboard and was nominated in the Latin Grammy Awards in the “Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album” category.
Over the course of his career, he has been awarded two Latin Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
