About IVAN LINS

Genre
Jazz / Blues
Ivan Lins is the most successful and popular Brazilian composer outside of Brazil and the most-recorded Brazilian artist living abroad. A multiple Grammy Award winner with more than 40 albums to his name, Ivan Lins has created a body of work that has travelled across jazz, pop and Brazilian music for decades.

Ivan Lins has released numerous recordings with great impact, always on contemporary issues of each era. His work has been renewed through the years, always bringing new musical values and ideals, without ever losing his trademark, his DNA, his originality.

From the second half of the 80s, his work had a major international impact, especially in the US where it was recorded by major artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, George Benson, Barbra Streisand, Sting, Toots Thielemans, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Diana Krall, The Manhattan Transfer, Patti Austin, Take 6, Al Jarreau, New York Voices and Michael Bublé.

What makes Ivan Lins so unique is the way his music continues to evolve without losing its signature: refined harmonies, unforgettable melodies and a deeply Brazilian sense of emotion and rhythm. From Brazil to the United States and far beyond, Ivan Lins has become one of the essential voices of modern Brazilian music.
