About Freya Skye

Freya Skye is a singer and actress, known for her role as Nova Bright in Disney’s Zombies movie franchise.1 She has released singles such as I Love the Way (2021), Can’t Fake It (2025), and Lose My Head (2022).2

She has also performed live on television, including Children in Need on the BBC, Saturday Mash-Up on CBBC, and The Blue Peter Christmas Special. Freya Skye’s voice has appeared in video games, too, with a role in Final Fantasy XVI.

Freya Skye’s Background

Freya Skye was born in Buckinghamshire, England, in 2009. At five years old, she received a karaoke machine as a gift, which made her fall in love with music.

In 2021, Freya Skye released her debut single titled I Love the Way. In 2022, she represented the UK at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Her song Lose My Head saw her finish in fifth place. At just 12 years old, she also won the global public vote.

After Eurovision, the singer secured deals with Disney and Hollywood Records.3 These contracts led to her appearance in The Next Step and a role as Nova in Zombies 4: Dawn of Vampires.4
