Grammy Award-winning EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers will bring their Memories Tour to the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State on Tuesday, April 25. Also on the bill are special guests Kiiara, Shaun Frank, and Emily Warren.
The Chainsmokers, best known for the hits “#Selfie,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” and “Closer,” are out on the road promoting their recently released debut studio long-player, Memories...Do Not Open. The album, released back on April 7 via Disruptor and Columbia Records, was preceded by two singles: “Paris” and “Something Just Like This” (featuring Coldplay). Memories… Do Not Open debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Kiiara, a pop singer-songwriter from Illinois, released her debut EP, Low Kii Savage, in March 2016 via EFFESS, Atlantic Records, and Warner Music Group. The EP reached No. 41 on the Billboard 200 and was supported by three singles: “Gold,” “Feels,” and “Hang Up tha Phone.”
Canadian DJ, singer-songwriter and producer Shaun Frank, frontman of alt rock band The Envy, has come into his own as an EDM artist. Frank has collaborated with the likes of The Chainsmokers, Borgeous, DVBBS, KSHMR, and Oliver Heldens.
Opening the show is Emily Warren. The singer and multi-platinum songwriter has written for several pop acts, including Sean Paul, Shawn Mendes, Jessie J, and 5 Seconds of Summer. Warren wrote four tracks and provided lead vocals for “Don’t Say and “My Type” on The Chainsmokers’ debut album, Memories...Do Not Open.
